Join us for an inspiring garden tour or Wild One’s member Melinda Guinn, in Fox Chapel Borough. We’ll explore a stunning 3-acre property that blends thoughtful design with ecological restoration. 

This Audubon Society of Western PA Certified Backyard Habitat and Penn State Watershed Friendly Property features nearly 100 native plant species and borders 18 acres of preserved parkland.

Since purchasing the property as a vacant lot in 2017, Melinda have worked to restore the land’s ecological integrity—removing over 25 invasive species and preserving towering native trees like Oaks, Eastern White Pines, Tulip Poplars, Maples, and Black Cherries. The house, driveway, and rain garden were all carefully placed to minimize disruption, replacing a former stand of Tree of Heaven with a vibrant and diverse native landscape.
